Rain Stops Saturday's Southern Bleacher Classic

Rain forced the cancellation of Saturday night's Southern Bleacher Classic for the Pennzoil World of Outlaws sprint cars at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track. There will be no rain date for the event.

Ticket refunds will be processed by mail only for those holding individual race tickets for Saturday's Southern Bleacher Classic. Ticket stubs from Saturday night's race should be mailed to the Texas Motor Speedway Ticket Office, P.O. Box 500, Fort Worth, Texas 76101-2500. Refunds will be processed within six weeks. Tickets purchased from Ticketmaster should be returned to the purchase site for refunds.

Dirt Track season ticketholders will have their accounts credited for the rained out tickets. All season ticketholders will receive a letter shortly outlining the ticket refund process for this race.

Because of the rainout, the preliminary feature victory of Brad Furr on Friday night was turned into a full-event win, Furr's first ever Pennzoil World of Outlaws triumph. Furr's winner's share was boosted from the $5,000 preliminary payoff to $10,000.
