Samsung/RadioShack Texas 500 Postponed

SAMSUNG/RADIOSHACK 500 POSTPONED FORT WORTH-DALLAS (April 7, 2002) – The Samsung/RadioShack 500, scheduled for Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway, has been postponed until Monday morning, April 8, due to rain. The gates will open at 7:30 a.m. with race start scheduled for 11:00 a.m. All race tickets for Sunday’s race will be honored on Monday -- no refunds are offered. “We’re disappointed that Mother Nature has forced the postponement of today’s race,” said speedway general manager Eddie Gossage. “We know how frustrating it is to the fans. Our only consideration has been to make every effort to mitigate the inconvenience that the postponement has caused. “We’re certain the fans will enjoy a fabulous race Monday morning and look forward to crowning a new champion in Victory Lane.”
