Divisional Winners from Amelia Motor Raceway's Season Opener 4/6/02

The 28th racing season has begun at Amelia Motor Raceway!  The season was kicked off last night with the help of about 150 kart drivers, flattrack riders and lots of race fans who weathered the cold to see a lot of great dirt track action!

Attached are the top three divisional winners from last night's races sponsored by the Amelia Bulletin Monitor.  Stock Medium was the featured kart class and Jason Manes of Powhatan took home $150 for the win.  Aaron Markham finished 2nd and Daniel Shelton finished third winning $85 and $65, respectively. Stock Heavy will be the featured kart class next week.  Heat races begin promptly at 5 p.m.  General admission is $6 and admission to the pits is $8.
