'Green Grand Prix' Solar-Car Aurora 101 Breaks Record to Win
AGO SunRace 2002
MELBOURNE, Australia, April 3 / Australian solar-car team 'Aurora 101' has turned in a record time at this year's AGO SunRace -- an annual solar-car race, which covers 2300km from Adelaide via the Australian Outback and Melbourne to Sydney.
Averaging 94.5 kph, Aurora 101 took the honors over two of the world's top solar-car teams, the University of Sydney's 'SunSwift II' and Lake Tuggeranong College's 'Spirit of Canberra'.
