AmeriCredit CIO Among Top Financial IT Executives of 2001-2002; Winners Nominated and Selected by Peers

    FORT WORTH, Texas--April 3, 2002--AmeriCredit Corp. today announced Joe McClure, executive vice president & chief information officer, has been named one of the 2001-2002 top financial Information Technology (IT) executives by The CIO Forum - Financial Services.
    McClure was one of 22 IT executives recognized among hundreds of people nominated by their peers for this inaugural award. The CIO Forum - Financial Services Advisory Board selected the honorees based on their creativity, commitment to the industry and results achieved. The awards will be given at the organization's financial services conference in May in New York City.
