Cummins Launches On-Highway Engine Website

    COLUMBUS, Ind.--April 3, 2002--Cummins Inc. today announced the launch of a new website designed to provide customers with key information about Cummins on-highway product line which will meet the October 2002 emissions standards.
    The site, www.tougheststandards.cummins.com, features a downloadable video and brochure describing the benefits of cooled exhaust gas recirculation and variable geometry turbocharging, as well as links to the latest articles and news releases describing Cummins progress toward meeting the October 2002 emissions regulation deadline.
    Cummins announced earlier today that its ISX engine is the first heavy-duty engine to be certified by the Environmental Protection Agency to the 2.5-gram NOx+NMHC standard. It is also the first of a number of engines in the Cummins product line which will be certified during the next six months.
