Audi Posts All-Time Best March Sales - Record First Quarter

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 2 - Audi of America, Inc. reported its third consecutive record sales month with March sales totaling 7,605, up 2.4 percent from March 2001 results of 7,428. It was Audi's best March ever and a record first quarter with a total of 20,052 vehicles sold versus 19,479 for March 2001, up 2.9 percent.

The all-new A4 led the month with sales of 4,037, up 21.5 percent versus last year's sales of 3,322.

Sales by model for March were:

The Audi TT reported 949 units.

The A6 posted 2,003 sales.

The Audi allroad quattro sold 482.

The Audi A8 reported 134 units.
