Vector SCM Appoints Three New Directors

    NOVI, Mich.--April 2, 2002--Vector SCM, the lead logistics provider for General Motors (GM), today announced the additions of James J. Para as managing director of information technology (IT), and Cindy M. Bridgeman and Errol P. Bachelder as directors of operations.
    In his new position, Para will report to President and Chief Executive Officer Gary Kowalski and will be responsible for developing and leading Vector's overall IT strategy.
    Before joining Vector, Para was principal consultant, founder and CEO of CIOxt & Associates, which provided CIO-level personnel to businesses to perform duration-specific assignments as an extension to the internal CIO function. Para holds a bachelor of science degree in business accounting and an MBA from Akron University.
    Bridgeman has joined Vector as director of service and parts operations reporting to Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Greg Humes. She will oversee the development of business cases involving service and parts operations.
    Bridgeman most recently served as director of strategic planning for GM Global Logistics. She holds a bachelor's degree in business and industrial management from Central Michigan University and attended the Executive Development Program at the University of Illinois and the Wharton School study program for Strategic Management and Thinking.
    Bachelder will serve as director of operations, vehicles, and will report to Mike O'Donnell, vice president of global operations. He will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day vehicle operations unit.
    Bachelder previously served as manager of container engineering for General Motors (GM). He was responsible for designing and supplying best derived container programs to support GM's manufacturing strategies in North America. He has an associate degree in industrial management from Lansing Community College and has completed extensive training through the General Motors Institute including manufacturing processes and financial management.
    Vector SCM is part of the Menlo Worldwide group of integration business solution providers, a $3 billion company that provides global supply chain services in more than 200 countries. Vector SCM is a joint venture between General Motors and CNF Inc. . Based in Novi, Mich., it functions as GM's lead logistics provider and gives GM end-to-end visibility for products and materials as they move within its global supply chain. Menlo Worldwide was formed in December 2001 from the combination of Vector SCM with two other operating companies owned by CNF: Emery Worldwide and Menlo Logistics.
