Now that the 2002 race season is officially underway...it's time again for
my family and I to start planning the Third Annual Melvin McCall "Strokes
For Progress" Memorial Golf Tournament.   First of all, I would like to
thank all of you who helped make last year's tournament such a huge success.
As you know, this tournament was established in memory of my Dad and all
proceeds will benefit The Duke Brain Tumor Research Program.  The first two
tournaments were a great success, and we could not have done it without your
participation and support.    

We're asking for your help again... any autographed item that you could
contribute for our auction would be greatly appreciated.  The tournament
last year raised over $18,000 and a major portion of that amount was from
our auction.  Over 200 people participated in the 2001 tournament, and this
year we would love to have you join us again.  I know everyone has a very
busy schedule, and the week between the Winston and the 600 is a great time
to be with your families and a nice break from traveling, but if you
couldn't join us last year, you missed a great time!  

This year's tournament will be held Monday, May 20th with Monday, October
14th as a rain date, if needed.   If you wish to learn how you can become
