CCC Information Services Inc. Introduces Commercial and Recreational Vehicle Valuation Service 2.0 Offering Easier Access and Improved Workflow

CHICAGO--April 1, 2002--CCC Information Services Inc., a leading supplier of information and technology solutions to the automotive claims industry, today announced availability of Commercial and Recreational Vehicle Valuation Service version 2.0. The enhanced set of services help streamline the valuation process for commercial and recreational vehicles such as heavy-duty trucks, tractors, commercial trailers, motorcycles, marine and personal watercrafts, motor homes and snowmobiles.
CRV 2.0 is now hosted on a shared platform that fully integrates with CCC's private passenger vehicle total loss system. The shared platform creates a common language between the two systems and offers customers easier access to comprehensive valuation reports via fax, email and, for the first time, directly through CCC's Total Loss or Pathways collision estimating systems.
"In response to our customers' requests for a more streamlined valuation process for specialty vehicles, we have delivered operational improvements and an increased capacity to handle twice as many requests as we see today," said Mary Jo Prigge, president of CCC sales and service. "We are confident that our customers will soon see the positive results of these improvements, which will help enhance our service to customers in providing fast, fair market values for commercial and recreational vehicles."
CCC customers have come to expect comprehensive market valuation reports that completely document everything from the equipment summary, comparable vehicles with adjustments, fraud information, as well as the methodology. The new CRV 2.0 offers customers monthly management reports to track detailed commercial and recreational vehicle valuation information including cycle times, adjuster performance/metrics, valuation amounts, vehicle identification number (VIN) and claims supplement information. This information allows insurers to better manage their business by helping to more accurately reflect the various types of loss units included in transaction volume.
Introduced to the industry in 1988, CCC's CRV valuation service is recognized as a leading authority on specialty vehicle valuations, which often require extensive market searches to recommend a fast, fair market value.
