Robert Bosch Corporation Names Rivard Vice President
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., March 25 -- Robert Rivard has been named vice president, advanced technology and product marketing for the Robert Bosch Corporation.
In this position, Rivard is responsible for developing new technology opportunities with automotive customers, including the development of vehicle level strategies for future Bosch technology applications, and creating a consumer-based analysis process for product needs.
Rivard has been with Bosch since 1993 in various positions including manager, anti-lock brake systems (ABS) and traction control systems applications. He was most recently director, modulation and actuation applications. Prior to working for Bosch, Rivard held management positions at AlliedSignal and TRW.
Rivard earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). Rivard has been awarded three patents for advanced ABS control algorithms and has been a speaker at several industry conferences.
Bosch designs and produces precision automotive components and systems sold to vehicle and powertrain manufacturers worldwide. These include systems and components for gasoline and diesel injection, airbag components, ABS and conventional braking systems, telematics, as well as small motors, electrical and electronic equipment.
