Ford Motor's Adams Joins NeoCore Board of Directors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--March 25, 2002--NeoCore has added Marvin W. Adams, vice president and chief information officer of Ford Motor Company, to its board of directors.
Adams became interested in NeoCore via the company's major investor, Baker Capital of New York, based on his interest in the problem of how to effectively store an increasing volume of data that is transmitted as XML. NeoCore XML Information Management System (XMS) is a self-constructing native XML database that supports the flexibility of XML and enables rapid development of business applications.
"I believe that being able to seamlessly store and retrieve data as XML will become increasingly important to corporations over the next few years," said Adams. "NeoCore's approach is particularly well-suited to managing unstructured data, which is a subset of enterprise information for which the industry still seeks effective solutions. I look forward to working with this exciting company and participating in the evolution of this critical technology area."
Eric "Ric" Miles, NeoCore president and chief executive officer, said Adams will bring a wealth of insight, experience and industry relationships to NeoCore. "Marv is a high-integrity professional who is sure to bring a significant contribution to our corporate strategy," he said. "He is a bright, insightful leader who heads up the technology organization of one of the country's top companies. It's a strong reflection on NeoCore that Marv has chosen to join our board."
Before joining Ford, Adams worked at Bank One Corporation, where he held several positions, including executive vice president, chairman of the Technology One Alliance Board, chief information officer and president of Bank One Financial Card Services Corp. His previous employment includes Xerox Corporation, where Adams was vice president of worldwide engineering systems, and IBM Corporation, where he held numerous systems engineering and marketing leadership positions. Adams serves on the board of Citrix Systems Inc. and is a member of the Baker Capital Corporation Advisory Group. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Michigan State University.
