Delphi Earns Three Toyota 'Excellent Awards'

TROY, Mich., March 25 -- Delphi was honored for meeting Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America's (TMMNA) quality and delivery standards at the 2002 TMMNA Annual Business Meeting & Awards Ceremony last week in Covington, Ky. TMMNA presented two Delphi divisions with Excellent Awards for meeting its targets in quality and/or delivery.

``TMMNA traditionally sets very high standards for quality and delivery,'' said Jim Damratoski, Delphi's regional customer manager for Toyota North America. ``We are honored to receive recognition for continuing to meet Toyota's targets, and we look forward to exceeding their expectations in the future.''

Delphi Energy & Chassis Systems earned Excellent Awards for both quality and delivery for the batteries its Anaheim, Calif., facility supplies for the Tacoma pickup truck. The plant was honored for 100 percent on-time delivery and zero parts per million quality defects.

Delphi Harrison Thermal Systems earned an Excellent Award for quality for the radiators supplied from its Lockport, NY, plant for the Tacoma pickup truck and Sienna minivan. The Lockport facility also was honored with certificates for delivery and value improvement
