Felipe Giaffone and the #21 Hollywood/Mo Nunn Racing Chevrolet G-Force
qualified 10th for Sunday's Yamaha Indy 400 at California Speedway.

The 2001 Indy Racing League Rookie of the Year turned a 32.999-second
(218.182-mph) lap on his second of two qualifying laps around the 2-mile,
high-banked tri-oval this afternoon.

Eddie Cheever (32.517/221.422) grabbed the pole while Jaques Lazier
(32.592/220.909) will start on the outside of the front row.  Cheever's
teammate, rookie Tomas Scheckter (32.777/219.661) will start third.

Race time is 12:30 p.m. PST (3:30 p.m. EST) with a live broadcast set for
ABC-TV.  The pre-race show "Indy Racing2Day" will be broadcast on ESPN2 at
2:30 p.m. EST.
