AmeriCredit Investor Relations Team Wins Top National Awards; Honors Recognize Practice of Best-in-Class Communications
FORT WORTH, Texas--March 22, 2002--AMERICREDIT CORP. announced today its investor relations team has received top honors in the U.S. among small-cap companies from Investor Relations magazine. AmeriCredit earned two prestigious awards -- "Grand Prix for Best Overall Investor Relations" and "Best Investor Relations Officer" -- at the publication's annual awards presentation last night in New York City.The Best Investor Relations Officer honor recognized Kim Pulliam, senior vice president, investor and public relations and Susan Sheffield, vice president, investor relations. Pulliam started the investor relations group at AmeriCredit in 1997 and Sheffield joined the team in 2001.
According to Investor Relations magazine, winners were determined by a survey of over 1,800 U.S. portfolio managers, securities analysts and retail investors. Respondents were asked to rate companies and investor relations officers in 20 categories ranging from disclosure policy to IR web sites. The survey was conducted for Investor Relations magazine by independent research firm Erdos & Morgan using a database provided by Thomson Financial.
