Prevent Drug, Blood and Lab Errors
After extensive evaluation, St. Marys Hospital Medical Center in Madison, Wisc., has contracted with Bridge Medical Inc., to purchase America's leading patient safety technology, the Bridge MedPoint(tm) software system. The nonprofit 321-bed SSM Health Care (SSMHC) teaching hospital is the first Wisconsin hospital to deploy a software system that uses barcode technology to intercept medication and blood (transfusion) product errors at the bedside.
