Tri County Speedway Releases 2002 Schedule
 

            Hudson, NC (March 20, 2002) -            Tri County General Manager Jimmy Wilson has released a 2002 event schedule for Tri County Motor Speedway located in Hudson. The track will feature 12 nights of racing action for the year with four weekly divisions to be featured on the program. The track will once again operate as a Friday night track.

            The feature division for the fast 4/10-mile track will be the Limited Late Model division with Modifieds, Supersports and Minisports also featured on the schedule. The track will also host three UARA Late Model Touring Series races on the schedule.

            "We are extremely excited about our schedule for 2002 at Tri County Speedway," said Wilson. "We have had our schedule approved by the county and we look forward to getting races back to the speedway. Many of the loyal competitors, sponsors and fans have wanted to see racing return to the speedway."

            More information concerning purses, ticket prices and general operations will be released next week.

            "Obviously we have a tremendous amount of work to get done by our first race night on April 5,' said Wilson. "We have already had groups of volunteers come out to help us with the track and we appreciate all of their support."

            The first race night on the schedule April 5 will feature racing in all four weekly divisions. The season will conclude on Friday, August 16 with all four weekly divisions in action.
