Spring Fling - Rental Cars Available On Weekends for Less Than $10 a Day; Enterprise Offering Some of The Industry's Lowest Ever Daily Rates

ST. LOUIS--March 21, 2002--Cost-conscious motorists, wanting to rent cars on weekends, are about to have access in their own neighborhoods to some of the industry's lowest ever daily rates.
Beginning Friday, March 29, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, North America's largest rental car company, is launching a U.S.(1) weekend promotion (valid at non-airport locations) featuring daily car rentals for as little as $9.99 a day for an economy or compact car. The promotion will run until Monday, April 22.
That puts the tab for an entire weekend - from Friday afternoon until Monday morning - at about $30. Upgrades to other Enterprise rental vehicles are available in $5 incremental increases, up to a premium sedan.
Consumers today have access to an unprecedented availability of rental vehicles, using them for a number of reasons, including getting better gas mileage on a weekend trip or arriving in style at a special occasion.
"When motorists rent, they also enjoy the benefit of driving new and reliable vehicles," said Steve Short, vice president of consumer development, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, "as well as avoiding mileage and the associated wear and tear on their own cars."

Motorists can take advantage of Enterprise's special low pricing at:

-- Enterprise's more than 4,400 U.S. neighborhood locations
-- www.enterprise.com
-- Toll-free 1-800-RENT-A-CAR (1-800-736-8222)
(1) Markets not included in special promotional pricing are Boston, Chicago, District of Columbia, New York City and San Francisco. The special $9.99 pricing is available at Enterprise Rent-A-Car's non- airport locations.
