SAE Detroit Section to Feature 2003 Dodge Viper

DETROIT--March 21, 2002--The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Detroit Section will hold its April meeting, featuring the 2003 Dodge Viper on Thursday, April 18 at the San Marino Club in Troy.

``Dodge built the all-new 2003 Viper to be lighter, faster and more powerful than ever,'' said Ralph Gilles of DaimlerChrysler. Gilles also stated that the Viper will become the only American production car to offer at least 500 horsepower, 500 lb-ft of torque and feature an engine with more than 500 cid. DaimlerChrysler Senior Engineers, James Finck, Pete Gladysz and Herb Helbig will present the all-new Viper at the SAE Detroit Section dinner meeting on Thursday, April 18 at the San Marino Club.

The evening's social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will follow at 6:30 and the presentation will begin at 7:30 p.m. The San Marino Club is located at 1685 East Big Beaver Rd., Troy. Reservations are required for this event. Tickets are $35 each or $15 for student members. The meeting is open to members and non-members.
