Zippo Live Timing & Scoring to Debut on Grand-Am.com During Grand American 400

FONTANA, Calif. (March 19, 2002) -- Grand American Road Racing Association announced today that its official website - www.grand-am.com - will now feature Zippo Live Timing & Scoring during all of its Rolex Sports Car Series and Grand-Am Cup Street Stock Series event weekends. The new section of the website will debut this weekend during the Grand American 400 at California Speedway, where both the Rolex Sports Car Series and Grand-Am Cup will help christen the newest road course on the west coast.

The Zippo Live Timing & Scoring system will not only allow fans to track all of the racing excitement on the Internet during the races, but will also allow them to view the fastest times live on the web during qualifying and practice.

Race fans will get their first chance to see the new Zippo Live Timing & Scoring on Thursday, when the Rolex Sports Car Series and Grand-Am Cup take to California Speedway's new road course for the first practice sessions. Qualifying for both the Rolex Sports Car Series and Grand-Am Cup will be held on Friday, and the race action will take to the track on Saturday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. PT, with the Rolex Sports Car Series Grand American 400. Grand-Am Cup will run its 250-mile race on Sunday at 8 a.m. PT as a precursor to the Indy Racing Leagues Yamaha Indy 400.
