Delco Remy Names Raj Shah Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

ANDERSON, Ind., March 19 -- Delco Remy International's Chief Executive Officer Thomas J. Snyder announced the appointment of Raj Shah to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Shah brings numerous years of financial, operational and leadership experience in the automotive supplier industry. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President of Collins and Aikman Corporation, where he played a key role in the transformation of the company to a major system supplier of interiors and convertible tops. Working closely with the executive team, Shah helped develop and implement a product and acquisition strategy that doubled the annual revenues of Collins and Aikman. Shah also played a leading role in the recapitalization of the company, in substantially improving cash flow and in building strong operational and financial systems.

Shah has had in-depth experience as a CFO and many years of international experience with various automotive and manufacturing companies. Prior to Collins and Aikman, Shah was the Chief Operating Officer of Dayton Walther a division of Variety Corporation. He was CFO of UT Automotive, a division of United Technologies Corporation; CFO of Kelsey Hayes Group, a division of Varity Corporation; CFO of Perkins Engines Division (United Kingdom), also a division of the Varity Corporation.

Shah holds a Bachelors Degree from Bombay University in India, and an MBA from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Additionally, he is a chartered accountant in India and Canada.
