TOUGH START FOR BRUMBAUGH

BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (March 19, 2002) –The 2002 Formula Ford 2000 Zetec
Championship season opened March 14-15 at Sebring, Fla., in conjunction with
the ALMS 12 Hours of Sebring. Canadian Formula Ford Champion and Rookie of
the Year, Andy Brumbaugh, had a disappointing and encouraging week at the
same time.  Brumbaugh qualified 15th and 14th respectively for races one and
two. He finished ninth in the first race with a damaged front wing and was
taken out on the opening lap of the second race.

"This week did not go the way I had hoped but we will be stronger at
Mosport," said Brumbaugh. "We will finally have the benefit of some testing
between now and rounds three and four, so we will hopefully be right up
front. Our program came together late and it prohibited us from doing any
pre-season testing. I hadn’t even seen my Van Diemen until AIM Autosport
stopped off in Savannah on the way to Sebring to shake the car down for 20
laps.  Given the amount of seat time, I am happy to have been as competitive
as we were. I think being able to move up in race one shows that we will be
a contender. The car felt even better for race two. I passed several cars on
the first lap before the crash.  AIM did a great job sorting out and setting
up the car so quickly."

"Andy may be disappointed but I am not," said AIM Autosport Chief Engineer
Ian Willis. "We made Andy’s seat on Sunday at Sebring and he had his first
hard run in the car on Monday. Given the track time, I think Andy did really
well. We have two really good drivers in Andy and Mark [Wilkins] and we’ll
be battling up front at the next event."
