Vector SCM Names Michael O'Donnell Vice President of Global Operations
DETROIT--March 19, 2002--Vector SCM today announced that Michael W. O'Donnell has been named vice president of global operations. The announcement was made by Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Greg Humes. Vector SCM is part of the Menlo Worldwide group of integrated business solution providers, a $3 billion company of global supply chain services owned by CNF Inc. .Vector SCM functions as the lead logistics provider for General Motors (GM). In his new position, O'Donnell, 46, will oversee the company's technology and physical infrastructure that provide end-to-end visibility for products and materials as they move within GM's global supply chain.
"Mike brings to Vector a great deal of knowledge and experience with managing global automotive supply chains. He will be a great asset to our team," said Humes.
O'Donnell previously served as vice president of operations for Penske Logistics where he was responsible for implementing the entire North America vehicle operation network for Ford Motor Company. He has more than 20 years of logistics management experience including positions at United Parcel Service, Toyota and TNT Logistics. O'Donnell holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio and is based at the company's headquarters in Novi, Mich.
Vector SCM is a joint venture between General Motors and CNF. Menlo Worldwide was formed in December 2001 from the combination of Vector SCM with two other operating companies owned by CNF: Emery Worldwide and Menlo Logistics.
