nMetric Selects Manufacturing Systems Industry Veteran Olinger to Boost Customer Focus; VP-Sales Will Direct Channel Strategies

COSTA MESA, Calif.--March 15, 2002--To assure that nMetric continues to keep customer needs at the forefront of programs and product development, nMetric has hired Chuck Olinger as vice-president of sales. Olinger has directed sales and channel strategies for a series of successful start-up and mature manufacturing systems organizations.
"Chuck Olinger is one of the most respected men in our industry," exclaims Tom Carpenter, nMetric CEO. "He has in-depth understanding of manufacturing applications, IT systems and our industry's channel partners. He brings multi-discipline experience to our company that will assure all resources work together so that we exceed our customers' expectations."
Most recently, Olinger was vice-president -- strategy, alliances and business development for RedKlay Web Solutions, a total business solution provider. He has also been managing director of TRW's Baan Practice, vice-president of sales and marketing of ERP-provider Relevant Business Systems and COO of MCBA, an ERP provider.
Olinger will join the company the first day of National Manufacturing Week to be held at Chicago's McCormick Place commencing Monday, March 18. He will then actively coordinate the company's marketing with its partners including Advanced Systems Group, The Ashford Group, CMAX, Driscoll & Associates, Infovation, Manufacturing Systems and Quovera prior to meeting with nMetric customers and prospects.
With nMetric 4C, orders are continuously monitored at every moment throughout the production process in real time to assure status and provide notification if delivery expectations are not going to be met. When and if resources or demands change or might change, 4C attempts to resolve any problems that could affect delivery dates and/or proactively notifies all specified parties so they are aware and can plan accordingly. If there are prospective large shifts in plans or resources, users proactively use 4C to manually determine the impact of various "what-ifs" on present order dates in the queue. Management can then anticipate what the effects of each change will be before making them.
