Law Enforcement Associates' Under Vehicle Surveillance Systems Have Been Chosen as Part of the Increased Security for the Headquarters of NATO and the United Nations

    YOUNGSVILLE, N.C.--March 13, 2002--Law Enforcement Associates' (OTC: LENF) Under-Vehicle Surveillance System (UVI) has been selected and purchased by NATO HEADQUARTERS Brussels, Belgium and at the NATO HEADQUARTERS South, Bagnoli, Italy.
    The UNITED NATIONS Headquarters, New York also has placed orders for multiple UVI units. The UVI will be a key element of the increased security measures proposed in the wake of terrorist threats worldwide.
    Law Enforcement Associates in conjunction with the United States Government has developed and currently manufactures the Under Vehicle Inspection Systems (UVI). The Under Vehicle Inspection system is a proven and effective tool to prevent the entry or exit of explosives and other contraband material from secure facilities. The UVI systems aid security personnel in conducting a quick and thorough inspection of the underside of all types of vehicles. Over 700 LEA Under Vehicle Inspection Systems are in service worldwide at military bases, government installations, embassies, nuclear facilities, oil refineries, official residences and commercial / industrial properties. The LEA Under Vehicle Surveillance Systems was a key part of the increased security in use at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah.
