USAR TEAM PR Release
WALLACE PREPARED FOR PENSACOLA
"Rookie Looks to Continue Improvement"
Mooresville, North Carolina (March 11, 2002) - Shane Wallace, 18, heads to Five Flags Speedway for this weekends running of the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series second event of the season. Coming off a hard fought 16th place finish in the season opener at Lakeland, the "Young Rising Star" looks to continue his improvement as he asserts his quest for Rookie of the Year honors in America's Most Exciting Short Track Racing Series.
"I can't wait to get back into the car this weekend at Pensacola," said Wallace. "It has seemed like such as long time ago that we raced at Lakeland and I am more than ready for the next race. Darren Shaw, crew chief, has worked hard in preparing this #4 Engine Ice Ford and we look to improve upon our Lakeland performance."
"This whole team has worked hard over the last few months and is really starting to come together very nicely," stated team owner Ned Wallace. "Our whole family has made the commitment to help Shane fulfill a dream and we all stand behind him 100%. This young man has incredible talent behind the wheel of a race car and he will continue to show this each week he races this season."
The team continues its search for additional sponsorship support for the Mooresville (NC) High School senior and his family owned operation. The team has available various packages that allows Corporate Partners to take advantage of this "Young Rising Star" as well as the television and marketing power of the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series.
