Grand-Am.com Offers Fans A Chance To Ask Mosler Driver Joao Barbosa Questions

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 7, 2002) -- Fresh off his first Rolex Sports Car Series victory, Mosler MT900 R driver Joao Barbosa will answer questions from fans on the Rolex Sports Car Series official website - www.grand-am.com. Last Saturday, Barbosa helped pilot the #24 ParisHotels.com Mosler MT900 R of Perspective Racing to the manufacturer's first-ever professional victory. The French team proved the Mosler will be a major threat in the GT class in 2002. 

Gridded second in GT, the ParisHotels.com Mosler was running fourth in class and a lap down when Thierry Perrier handed the wheel to Barbosa with about 40 laps to go in the Nextel 250 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Quickly moving to third behind the Sculdera Ferrari, Barbosa found himself second when the leading Porsche had an extended pit stop. With only seven laps remaining, the Mosler passed the Ferrari for the win.  

Barbosa put Molsers in the GT pole position at the last two runnings of the Rolex 24 At Daytona. He is the chief test driver for Mosler, and when he is not racing, he aids in the development of Mosler's road-going version of the car.
