FORMULA FORD 2000 ZETEC MAXIMUM POTENTIAL DRIVING PROGRAM TO FEATURE NEW COACHES AT SEBRING

ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. (March 6, 2002) - The Formula Ford 2000 Zetec
Championship today announced the Maximum Potential Driving Program will have
a new chief instructor in 2002 and will feature an additional driving coach
at the season-opener at Sebring International Raceway.

Beaux Barfield has been named the Zetec Championship Chief Instructor and at
Sebring will be assisted by Dan Wheldon.

Barfield, currently regarded as one of North America’s top instructors,
joins the Zetec Championship following an accomplished driving and
instructing career. In SCCA National competition, Barfield captured numerous
wins in both Spec Racer Ford and Formula Continental, the amateur equivalent
to Formula Ford 2000. In 11 Formula 2000 National Championship races, he
captured two pole positions, three podium finishes and seven top-10
finishes. Racing in the Hooters FF2000 Championship, Barfield won three
races and finished runner-up to current IRL driver, Anthony Lazzaro.
Barfield also contested two races in the official CART FedEX Championship
developmental series, the Dayton Indy Lights Championship. As an instructor,
Barfield taught at the Panoz Racing School, which is the only racing school
in the world that uses a purpose-built GT racing sports car, from 1992 to
2002. Currently, Barfield is one of the lead instructors at the Mid-Ohio
School. Since 1997, he has taught on what is recognized by racers as one of
the most technically demanding drivers' circuits in the world, the Mid-Ohio
Sports Car Course.

"I'm excited about working with the drivers in the Zetec Championship," said
Barfield. "The drivers in the championship have a tremendous amount of
natural talent, but in this day and age that's not enough. By working with
them my goal is to make them better drivers and ensure they have the skills
necessary to move up the motorsports ladder."

Wheldon joins Barfield at Sebring, making his coaching debut. In 1999,
Wheldon became the only driver in Formula Ford 2000 Zetec Championship
history to win the National Championship, Oval Crown Championship and Rookie
of the Year award in the same year. Since graduating from the Zetec
Championship, Wheldon has captured the CART Toyota Atlantic and CART Dayton
Indy Lights Rookie of the Year awards in back-to-back years. Currently he is
pursing opportunities in both the Indy Racing League and CART FedEx
Championship.

Barfield and Wheldon will work with the drivers to ensure they maximize
their potential and make the most of the skills they learn while competing
in the Formula Ford 2000 Zetec Championship.

The 2002 Zetec Championship gets underway March 14-15, 2002, at Sebring
International Raceway with Rounds One and Two.
