Schenck Pegasus Unveils STARS - a New Automation Software Platform Developed by SRH Systems Ltd - a Joint Venture of Schenck, Ricardo and Horiba

    DETROIT, SAE 2002, Schenck Pegasus Booth #2011-- March 6, 2002--SRH Systems, the joint venture between Schenck, Ricardo and Horiba, unveils its first new system at the SAE 2002 show in Detroit.
    STARS -- a new generation of automation software platform -- addresses the testing requirements of the automotive industry.
    Using leading edge software technologies and running on industry standard hardware, STARS applications will cover engine, powertrain, vehicle and brake testing, with powerful data analysis, reporting and management capabilities.
    Designed to be integrated into any testing environment, the STARS platform is open in every sense. An extensive range of third party instrumentation and subsystems is supported through industry standard interfaces such as ASAM.
    Products based on the STARS platform will be built and marketed by Schenck, Ricardo and Horiba. The global presence of these partners will ensure that customers can depend on local support for STARS, wherever they are located.     SRH Systems started life a year ago as a collaboration between Schenck and Ricardo. They were joined by Horiba in October of last year.
