Continental Tire North America Inc. Selects Siemens Business Services to Provide SieQuence - TM - Solutions

    RYE BROOK, N.Y.--March 5, 2002--

Services from SieQuence State 3 suite to be included in multi-year contract

    Siemens Business Services, Inc. (SBS), one of the world's leading providers of IT infrastructure solutions and services, today announced that Continental Tire North America Inc. (CTNA), producer of high-performance tires for most of today's premium vehicles, has awarded SBS a $6 million contract for SAP application hosting and IT architecture upgrades.
    These technological advantages, aimed at enhancing CTNA's enterprise performance, are selected from the suite of services available through SieQuence state 3 solutions, designed to help assure IT availability and performance while maximizing business application.
    Specifically, the contract includes SAP application hosting that supports up to 2,500 CTNA employees, along with quality assurance, production and disaster recovery operational services to support their current SAP 3.1 environment as well as provide the appropriate environment to enable the future SAP software upgrade to version 4.6 Additional services include the implementation and support of a unique archiving/imaging and workflow solution, as well as full disaster recovery plan development, hardware, operational services and periodic testing.
