REMINDER/AAA to Announce Initiative to Combat Number One Killer of Children

    Using its 1902 birthplace in Chicago as the backdrop, AAA will announce a major nationwide campaign to help reduce child passenger deaths.

    AAA will unveil:

--	New data on deaths prevented and societal cost savings associated with effective child restraint systems in motor vehicles.
--	Results from a nationwide survey regarding awareness and behaviors on child occupant protection systems.
--	A new public service announcement on the issue, starring Academy Award winner Marlee Matlin.

    AAA will also propose solutions to increasing the proper use of safety seats calling on manufacturers, parents and legislators for increased involvement. In addition, there will be a live demonstration of proper child seat installation by AAA certified technicians.
