Delphi Energy & Chassis Systems Streamlines Business Line Structure

TROY, Mich., March 4 -- Delphi Automotive Systems' Energy & Chassis division announced today that it plans to consolidate its braking systems business line and its chassis modules business line into one unit: the brakes and modules business line.

Daniel E. Warrell has been named the business line executive (BLE) to lead the brakes and modules business line, reporting to Robert J. Remenar, executive director of Delphi Energy & Chassis business lines. Previously, Warrell was BLE for the chassis modules business line.

In the consolidated structure, Kay Bustard will continue as business line executive, now reporting to Warrell.

According to Remenar, this consolidation will ``accelerate the division's already intense focus on brakes and modules -- to continue to bring new, integrated technology to market faster and drive improvements in the cost structure.

``This is a natural evolution that blends well with our complete vehicle dynamics capabilities,'' said Remenar. ``Dan and Kay will work together to maximize speed to market and cost improvements as they integrate their respective product line teams.''

Bustard and Warrell will continue as members of the Delphi Energy & Chassis executive staff.

Both moves are effective March 1, 2002.
