Volkswagen of America, Inc. Reports U.S. Sales for February

AUBURN HILL, Mich., March 1 -- Volkswagen of America, Inc. reported U.S. sales of 22,122 new cars for the month of February compared to last year's figure of 24,265, a decline of 8.8 percent.

For the year so far, Volkswagen is about on pace with 2001 with total sales of 43,484 cars, a slight drop of 2.1 percent during the same period in 2001 when the number was 44,409.
