Subaru of America, Inc. Announces Sales Results for February - Impreza Sales Up 153 Percent; Overall Sales Down 4 Percent -
CHERRY HILL, N.J., March 1 -- Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA), a pioneer of crossover all-wheel drive vehicles designed for the active lifestyle, announced today total sales of 13,042 units for the month of February. The monthly total represents a decrease of 4 percent from 2001 totals for the comparable period.
Fueled by the popularity of the rally-bred WRX, Subaru Impreza recorded a total of 3,104 units for the month, up an astounding 153 percent from 2001. Subaru Legacy accounted for 6,547 units, down 19 percent from last year, while Subaru Outback posted 4,816 unit sales for the month. Subaru Forester recorded a total of 3,391 units for the month.
