NHRA SOUTH CENTRAL DIVISION EVENT IS UNDER THE WEATHER
        HOUSTON - Rain and cold temperatures have put a stop to this
weekend's NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Houston Raceway Park
in Baytown, Texas.  The event, which never got under way, has been
rescheduled for June 21-23.
        "It's raining right now and, according to the forecast, when it
stops we'll be faced with cold for the rest of the weekend," said South
Central Division Director Craig Hutchinson.  "It just doesn't look good so
we decided to let everyone go home and try again in June."
The event would have been the first of six in South Central Division
competition.  The division's next race is scheduled for Memphis Motorsports
Park in Tennessee, March 22-24.
