Schenck Pegasus Corporation to Hold News Briefing at Society of Automotive Engineers -SAE- World Congress March 6

    DETROIT--March 1, 2002--Schenck Pegasus Corporation will hold a news briefing at 10:15 a.m., Wednesday, March 6 to introduce the chief executives and developers behind `STARS,' a new automation software platform developed by SRH Systems Ltd. a joint venture operation of Schenck Pegasus, Ricardo plc and Horiba Ltd.
    Frank Haun, president and CEO of Carl Schenck AG, will unveil details of the STARS program and the decisive advantages it offers auto-engineers in the field of engine, vehicle and component testing. Haun will be joined by Atsushi Horiba, president of Horiba Ltd., Rodney Westhead, FCA chief executive/CEO of Ricardo plc and James Fowler, managing director of SRH Systems Ltd.
    SRH Systems Ltd brings together the expertise of three global leaders in the field of automotive technology. Mr. Haun will provide insight into future trends and developments in engine and powertrain testing. He is expected to release details of future cooperative development programs between the three partner companies.
    The press conference will take place on the Schenck booth #2011, at the SAE World Congress, at Cobo Conference and Exhibition Center, Detroit. Look for the STARS and the VRSCA V-Rod from Harley-Davidson.
