Brian Simo and Huffaker RaceWerX test, website

2000 Trans-Am Series champion Brian Simo completed his first day of testing
for the 2002 season, but he says the big challenge is still ahead. The
Carlsbad, Calif., driver and the new Huffaker RaceWerX team tested the No. 7
Jaguar XKR at Buttonwillow Raceway in Buttonwillow, Calif., on Feb. 26.

Huffaker RaceWerX is an alliance between Simo's two previous winning teams -
Huffaker Engineering and RaceWerX MotorSports. Team owners Joe Huffaker and
Bruce Barkelew have enlisted the support of Simo's race engineer, Lynn
Bishop, and data specialist George Main. The team's chassis and engines are
built by Huffaker Engineering in Sonoma, Calif.

"The test was exceptional," Simo said. "Everything was flawless and the car
is really promising. It's phenomenal to be back with Huffaker horsepower and
engineering, and I'm really excited to be working with everyone again."

The team is still working hard to secure funding, the final element required
to compete in what the members hope will be a championship season. "That's
the real battle - the sponsorship hunt," Simo noted.

Huffaker is pleased with the testing results and the outlook for the new
team. "We have a lot to offer, combining the strength and marketability of
these powerful and proven entities," he said. "We have all the ingredients
to win the Trans-Am title, but sponsorship is eluding us at this time. This
is a fantastic and natural combination with Bruce Barkelew as a partner."

Barkelew is looking forward to returning to Trans-Am racing with Simo and
Huffaker. "I'm extremely excited about what we're trying to accomplish," he
said. "With our combined efforts, the potential is awesome."

The team's new website, launched today by Barkelew, is at www.racewerx.com.
