Mazda Names Hispanic and African-American Agencies To Handle Diversity Marketing
IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 28 -- Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today announced it has engaged two companies to enhance its diversity- marketing efforts. The Bravo Group, a full-service Hispanic advertising agency and The Wimbley Group, a full-service African-American advertising agency, have been tapped to provide research, strategic counsel and tactical implementation to help Mazda better reach its target audiences.
``Many of our customers and potential customers are Hispanic and African American,'' said Kristen Simmons, vice president of marketing for MNAO. ``After an extensive review of advertising agencies that specialize in developing communications to these diverse audiences, we chose Bravo and Wimbley to work with us and our strategic marketing partner, Doner Advertising.''
Mazda's diversity commitment extends beyond advertising and marketing and includes minority-owned dealerships, suppliers, corporate contributions/sponsorships, scholarships and partnerships with national minority organizations. ``We look forward to Bravo and Wimbley providing us with even more tools to further our diversity communications,'' Simmons added.
Mazda North American Operations is responsible for the sales and marketing, customer parts and services support of Mazda vehicles in the United States. Headquartered in Irvine, Calif., MNAO has more than 700 dealerships nationwide.
