Ford's Giant F-650 SuperCrewZer to Appear at New Jersey Horse Expo

SOMERSET, N.J., Feb. 27 -- Ford Division will show off some of the biggest, toughest and most powerful trucks in America at the Ford Truck Tri-State Horse World Expo.

The event will be held March 1-3, 2002, at the Garden State Exhibit and Convention Center in Somerset, N.J. The Expo, one of the biggest such shows in the United States, is an equine extravaganza featuring a retail trade show, educational seminars and mounted demonstrations.

The Ford truck display, which will include the imposing F-650 SuperCrewZer, is part of a wide-ranging partnership between Ford Division and the Tri-State Horse World Expo. The SuperCrewZer boasts an extraordinary 860 foot-pounds of torque from its Caterpillar diesel engine, giving it best-in- class towing capability. Also on display will be a host of Ford F-Series SuperDuty and F-150 full-size pickups.

``Horse owners love their trucks and want to see trucks that can haul large multi-horse trailers. We are delighted to say that Ford has a truck for every job,'' said Ford New Jersey Field Manager Jeff Eggen. ``For 25 years, Ford has sold the most popular truck in America, and the equestrian industry has especially appreciated the towing, hauling and durability of our pickups. We are delighted to sponsor this great event and to interact with thousands of equestrian enthusiasts.''

More than 150 vendors at the show will display everything imaginable for the horse enthusiast. Seminars and clinics on varied topics will be presented continuously by internationally known trainers, authors and experts in the Main Seminar Hall and the ``Built Ford Tough'' Main Arena. Additionally, there will be continuous mounted demonstrations including a ``Parade of Breeds.''

Hours for the Ford Truck Tri-State Horse World Expo are Friday, March 1, 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, March 2, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, March 3, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Daily admission is $10 for adults, $5 for ages 10-14; those under 10 are admitted free. Parking is available at no cost.
