Federal-Mogul Named Jasper Engines & Transmissions Preferred Partner

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Feb. 26-- One of the longest streaks of individual supplier recognition by a major automotive parts remanufacturer continues to roll on.

For the 14th consecutive year, global supplier Federal-Mogul Corporation has been named a Preferred Partner by Jasper Engines & Transmissions -- one of Federal-Mogul's largest aftermarket customers.

Federal-Mogul is the only JASPER supplier to earn the prestigious award every year since its inception. This year, JASPER presented the award to eight of its 3,200 suppliers -- just two-tenths of 1 percent of its total supply base.

The award was presented recently during JASPER's 14th Annual Preferred Partners Banquet near JASPER's headquarters in Jasper, Indiana. JASPER is one of the nation's leading remanufacturers of drive-train components, including gas and diesel engines -- both import and domestic -- transmissions, differentials and marine products.

JASPER is known throughout the aftermarket industry as a leader and innovator in quality and service. The Jasper Engines & Transmissions' Preferred Partner Award is presented annually to recognize the company's Partners in Success. Recipients are nominated by a purchaser within the JASPER organization and are judged on quality, service, fill-rate, response time to a problem, and billing/credit procedures, among other criteria. Judging takes place by key JASPER personnel who use the nominees' products and services.

JASPER, a major remanufacturer of engines and transmissions, purchases a variety of products from Federal-Mogul including Sealed Power® pistons, piston rings and engine bearings; Fel-Pro® gaskets; and National® seals. JASPER uses these parts in remanufactured engines and transmissions that it sells through its own distribution network to commercial accounts, fleets and garages.
