Law Sets Same Goal in New Class

Law Sets Same Goal in New Class

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PHOENIX, Ariz. (February 25, 2002) - Just like his last trip to the Homestead-Miami Speedway, Rolex GT Champion Darren Law is still looking to get to the checkered flag first in his class. This time around he'll do it just a little faster.

Law and the G&W Motorsports team have moved from the GT class to the faster, SRP II class for the 2002 Grand-Am season. He will co-pilot the #07 Momentum Motorcars/G&W Motorsports Picchio sponsored by USI Insurance and the Valley Group.

After an unfortunate finish at the Rolex 24, Law is hoping to have a better performance at the second round of the Grand-Am season. Being in contention to win the Nextel 250 will still be tough, as the team's new motor program won't be in effect until the third race of the season.

"Right now we are in a position to try and accumulate as many points as possible so we don't fall behind," Law said. "After this race we will have competitive motors that are being built by the BMW specialists at PTG. Then I feel we can be in contention for a win."

The Nextel 250 will begin at 3:30 p.m. EST this Saturday afternoon. For more information, visit www.grand-am.com.
