2nd Narita runway to open April 18

TOKYO — Japan informed other countries Thursday that a second runway at Narita airport, Japan's main international gateway east of Tokyo, will open April 18 for use by medium-sized aircraft.

The Land, Infrastructure and Transport Ministry announced the opening of the 2,180-meter second runway in the Aeronautical Information Publication. (Kyodo News)
