Cargill Joins the Nistevo Collaborative Logistics Network; Solution to Deliver Significant Cost Savings to North America Sweeteners Division

MINNEAPOLIS--Feb. 20, 2002--Nistevo Corp., a leading Collaborative Logistics Network(SM), today announced that Cargill, Incorporated, a global leader in agriculture and food products and services, has joined the Nistevo network. Using Nistevo's internet-hosted transportation execution capabilities, Cargill's North America Sweetener (NAS) Business Unit plans to reduce its logistics spend through online execution and intra-company collaboration.
"We found Nistevo's contract, execution and collaboration functionality to be well suited for Cargill's transportation needs," said Richard Dolski, assistant vice president and supply chain manager for Cargill NAS. "In addition, their strong customer base demonstrated that Nistevo would be the best long-term partner for our initiatives. We look forward to experiencing similar savings to those reported by other Nistevo customers."
"Improved collaboration within our supply chain is an important logistics strategy for Cargill," said Jeff Greavu, supply chain logistics manager at Cargill NAS. "With Nistevo, we will be able to improve our interplant logistics performance through better inbound visibility and collaborative tours."
"Cargill's solid relationships with our carriers are instrumental to efficient operations," said Craig Probst, motor carrier logistics manager at Cargill NAS. "Nistevo's technology allows Cargill and our core carriers to realize more efficient business processes. For example, we can jointly manage our existing contracts and rates on-line as well as recognize movements that will reduce non-revenue miles and improve asset utility. We feel it's a win-win for Cargill and our carriers."
"The Nistevo network continues to see expansion from within our current customer base and from new members, like Cargill," said Kevin Lynch, president and CEO of Nistevo. "With over 250 million miles managed by the system in the last six months, our customers are rapidly adopting and growing their use of the network. We are pleased to welcome Cargill as our newest member, and look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship with their organization."
