SPEEDWAY ANNOUNCES NO TICKET PRICE INCREASES FOR 2002

Irwindale, Calif. (February 19, 2002) Irwindale Speedway has announced that it is "holding the line" on regular event night ticket prices for the fourth year in a row. "We're very happy to be able to keep the same price structure in place as when we opened in 1999, and to even be able to cut the prices on a couple of our higher priced events for the 2002 season," said Bob DeFazio, the track's VP/COO.

Regular event ticket prices will be $15.00 for adults, $5.00 for kids 6 – 12 years old , with kids 5 and under free. Of the thirty-four events on the season's calendar only 5 are premium price events and a two of those will see their ticket price reduced from $35 to $25. The track will continue the policy that Kids 12 and under are admitted free to premium priced events. "We want to make our premier events more accessible to more families," track GM Bob DeFazio said. "These are top quality, premium events that we're out to make more affordable for our great fans."

The track's Jani-King 200 Winston West race on July 27 will be one of the 2002 events sporting a 10 dollar leaner price tag than in 2001 as will the USAC Open Wheel (Midgets and Sprint Cars plus a special Auto Club Late Model 100-lapper) night on October 27.
