Modine Strengthens Relationship With DaimlerChrysler on the 2002 Dodge Ram
RACINE, Wis.--Feb. 19, 2002--Modine Manufacturing Company has announced that they have been selected by DaimlerChrysler to supply the radiator module for the 2002 Dodge Ram.Modine has been supplying transmission oil coolers for the Dodge Ram platform since 1994, and now the content on the vehicle has been expanded to a radiator module. The module contains products from several Modine plants in North America, including radiators from Clinton, Tennessee; PF(R) (parallel-flow) oil coolers from Richland, South Carolina; and power steering oil coolers from Harrodsburg, Kentucky. The modules are assembled at Modine's Clinton, Tennessee facility and shipped to DaimlerChrysler. Modine is providing innovative side-by-side mounting of the radiator module next to the air-conditioning condenser which yields multiple benefits: better acceleration when the air conditioner is on, quieter operation at idle, lower radiator temperatures and faster cooling of the interior.
