Speedwise Enables New Booster Service For Orange France
CANNES, FRANCE; RA'ANANA, ISRAEL; and LONDON--(INTERNET WIRE)--Feb 19, 2002 -- 3GSM CONGRESS -- The new Booster service will allow Orange France (owned by Orange S.A. -- LSE: OGE) to provide its customers with accelerated mobile multimedia services and is being enabled by Speedwise Accellence(TM), the market leading wireless Internet acceleration solution from Speedwise Technologies Ltd. The service is being demonstrated at the 3GSM Congress in Cannes for the first time.
The new service will deliver accelerated Internet access and enhance the performance of CSD and GPRS-enabled networks nationwide. Accellence was selected by Orange France following a rigorous benchmarking process in the operator's laboratories where the technology was proven to be the preferred platform for enabling advanced services due to its superior performance and ease of deployment.
The Booster service will allow Orange France's 17.8-million customers to benefit from faster mobile multimedia services delivered to any HTML-enabled mobile device such as PDAs, smartphones or laptops. In addition, Orange France customers will be able to personalize their own browsing preferences through Accellence's user-friendly graphic user interface (GUI), which was rapidly customized by Speedwise to meet the operator's requirements.
Demonstrations of the new Booster service can be seen on the Speedwise stand (no: E52, Hall 2) at the 3GSM Exhibition in Cannes. A variety of HTML-enabled end-user devices will display accelerated Internet access over Orange France's GPRS-enabled network.
