JANI-KING BECOMES TITLE SPONSOR

Irwindale, Calif. - - (February 20, 2002) Irwindale Speedway today announced that Jani-King, the world's leading commercial cleaning franchise company, has become the 2002 series sponsor for Irwindale's top weekly NASCAR racing series, the Super Late Models. To be know as the "Jani-King Super Late Model Series", the 18 races for the 2002 championship will be held on the Irwindale oval beginning on opening night, Saturday, March 19 and continue right on until Saturday, September 28. "We're very pleased to have Jani-King come on board as an official track sponsor and name sponsor for our terrific NASCAR Super Late Models," said VP/COO Bob DeFazio. "They became our official cleaning service here at the Speedway last year and have done a terrific job. Jani-King has sponsored a number of individual events here, but this is a even stronger bond with this facility and the great bunch of racers in our Super Late Models."

Jani-King spokesman Wayne Carpenter was equally enthusiastic about the new partnership saying, "We've been involved in motorsports for many years now and we're excited about this greatly enhanced relationship with Irwindale. Being an integral part of a major NASCAR weekly racing series like this is something that perfectly suites our style at Jani-King. There are many possibilities for us to make contact with the public in general and other business' specifically here at the Speedway. In effect, our customers are their customers, we bring new businesses to the Speedway and we are able to meet many prospective franchisees and customers for our services. This is a great marketing tool for us, something that will energize our working associations all through the season."

Jani-King's sponsorship of this division will adds $10,000.00 to the Super Late Model end-of-season points fund. "That $10,000 combined with the Miller Lite Big 10 Challenge money (another $10,000 points payout), Irwindale's own points fund money and additional NASCAR bonuses will add up to make the Jani-King Series one of the most lucrative weekly racing series in short track racing anywhere in the country. And we couldn't be more delighted. Their commitment to this multi-year joint venture is the kind of strong association that builds the great working partnerships in this business."

Jani-King has more than 8,500 authorized Franchise Owners worldwide. Through a network of more than 100 regional offices, Jani-King contracts commercial cleaning services, while the work is performed by Franchise Owners, who operate their own business. With over 30 years in business, Entrepreneur magazine recognizes Jani-King as one of the top-10 franchise companies for 2001, alongside franchising giants Subway, McDonald's, and Mail Boxes Etc. Hot NASCAR competition is the night's theme and a 100 lap race for Irwindale's top weekly racing division heads up the list of racing attractions.
