Auto Dealers Present SJ Police With Car Seats

WHAT:       Presentation of 200 children's car seats to San Jose
            Police Department by Silicon Valley Auto Dealers
            Association. 
	           These seats will be available to families in need.
	           This event will serve to explain the February 23 Free Car
            Seat Inspection event conducted by the SJPD to provide
            safer conditions for children traveling in vehicles.

DATE:       February 19, 2002

TIME:       10:30 a.m. -  11:30 a.m.    

LOCATION:   1671 The Alameda (on front lawn)

EVENT:      Mark Normandin, Vice-President of the Silicon Valley Auto
            Dealers Association, will make a formal presentation to 
            San Jose Police Chief William Lansdowne and San Jose Mayor
            Ron Gonzalez, Representatives of the SJPD Safe Kids
            Program will be available to demonstrate proper child
            safety seat and booster seat installation and to explain
            the February 23 Free Car Seat Inspection event.
