Incubus to Drive Civic Tour 2002

    VENICE, Calif.--Feb. 15, 2002--

"Civic Tour Presents Incubus Morning View" Kicks Off on April 11 in Portland, Ore.; Exclusive Ticket Pre-Sale to Run February 16-22 at civictour.com

    Today, Honda announced that Civic Tour will hit the road again on April 11 with multi-platinum rockers Incubus in the driver seat. On the heels of the resounding success of the inaugural Civic Tour in 2001 (with two separate legs featuring blink-182 in major markets and Everclear in secondary markets playing to intimate packed houses), the expanded Civic Tour 2002 will feature Southern California rockers Incubus for a 50-date arena tour across the U.S. An exclusive online ticket pre-sale will launch February 16 at civictour.com.
    Incubus' musical diversity goes beyond rock to a unique mix of pop, metal, hip-hop and jazz-fusion performed by Brandon Boyd (vocals/percussion), Mike Einziger (guitars), Dirk Lance (bass), Jose Pasillas (drums) and Chris Kilmore (turntables). With six albums released over the past 6 years, including the multi-platinum "Make Yourself," featuring the hit single "Drive," Incubus has built such a loyal following that their current CD, "Morning View," went platinum in just 10 weeks. With their hard rocking sensibilities and soulful lyrics, Incubus will fill Civic Tour arenas with fans ranging from metal heads and young punk rockers to hip hop and alternative rock enthusiasts alike.
    "The band is really excited to be involved with Honda and the Civic Tour because it gives us a chance to play much bigger venues at a ticket price that we think is very reasonable," said Dirk Lance of Incubus.     Civictour.com will also host the exclusive "Civic Tour Presents Incubus Morning View" ticket online pre-sale beginning February 16 at 10 a.m. ET through February 22 at 11:59 p.m. ET, giving fans who log on the opportunity to buy the best tickets available before they go on sale to the general public. In addition to the unique giveaway and ticket pre-sale, beginning March 11 fans can check out civictour.com for Incubus information, including the tour schedule, band scrapbook, exclusive streaming audio and video, and more TBA. Through special radio promotions, Civic Tour will also give fans chances to win Civic Tour tickets and to meet the band before the show.

    Civic Tour is a unique promotion where music fans can catch one of their favorite acts and have a chance at winning new customized Honda Civic Si's designed and autographed by Incubus. Created and produced by marketingfactoryinc., Civic Tour is bringing the new Civic Si closer to youthful, contemporary drivers, while offering music fans more from their favorite bands. Incubus will custom-design and autograph six all new Honda Civic Si's, which will tour the country on display at their concerts. One of the Incubus Si's will be awarded to a lucky fan through a national online promotion at the official Web site, civictour.com, and the other five through additional media promotions TBA.
