Warn Industries Builds Center Disconnect for ATV Users; WARN 424 Select System Will Allow Honda Drivers to Switch From 4- to 2-Wheel Drive for Greater Maneuverability
CLACKAMAS, Ore.--Feb. 15, 2002--For Honda ATV owners who want the option of 2-wheel drive performance, Warn Industries has released WARN(R) 424 Select(TM) disconnect. The system is a ATV front-end disconnect system that allows users to manually disengage both front wheels for greater maneuverability and reengage 4-wheel drive for superior traction.
"The WARN 424 Select system is an affordable upgrade that offers a fun, sport bike feel while also reducing steering effort and wear and tear on you and your bike," said John Vandecoevering, Director of ATV Products for Warn Industries. "Conversely, when you need the option of 4-wheel drive to conquer tough terrain, the product will allow you to easily switch back."
The system is made for superior performance under extreme conditions. The disconnect shafts, made out of nickel plated 4140 alloy heat-treated steel, provide superb corrosion resistance and the shift housing is tightly sealed for minimal maintenance. Also, a Teflon-lined control cable reduces friction and allows for easy engagement.
The system was designed specifically for 4-wheel drive Honda ATVs. Currently, the disconnect will fit the Honda 400, 1995-1997 and 1998-present, the Honda 450, the Honda Rancher and the Honda Rubicon.
